AlienGuards are custom-fit from an impression of your own teeth. You take the impression at home with our kit, and we form your guard on a model of your bite in our San Jose, CA lab.

Origin or Origin Pro for MMA

Origin (from $74.99) is our combat guard for boxing, MMA, Muay Thai and football, with reinforced impact zones and a 5 mm combat option. Combat guards are 5 mm thick because MMA involves heavy, direct strikes, and the extra material absorbs more force.

Origin Pro ($94.99) extends coverage over the teeth, gums and jaw. It's our maximum-protection model for fighters who want the most coverage. Use the model comparison to see the two side by side.

Fit that stays put

A guard that shifts during a scramble is a guard you end up holding in your glove. Because a custom guard is made from your impression, it is more comfortable and secure than a stock or boil-and-bite guard. It doesn't slip or fall out, and it's easier to wear for a full training session. Most athletes breathe and talk normally in a custom guard, so you can still hear your corner and call for a reset.

Fight-night style

Every Origin and Origin Pro can carry your colors, custom text, a logo or full custom art. Pick a single color or two or more with stripes or a marbled finish, add your name or fight name, or upload your gym's logo. Impression Storage keeps your model on file for the next camp.

How ordering works

Build your guard online and we ship you an at-home impression kit. Taking the impression takes about 10 minutes, and the putty sets in 2 minutes 30 seconds; the impression guide walks you through it. Mail the impression back to our lab, and your guard is crafted within 10–14 business days after we receive a good impression, then shipped with tracking. Not sure your impression worked? Email a photo to support@alienguards.com and we will tell you if it can be used.

Keep it in shape

Rinse it with clean water before and after training, brush it with a soft toothbrush and toothpaste (not denture cleaner), and keep it in a ventilated case away from heat. Replace it every year, or sooner if it gets damaged or worn.
