Motocross riders take hard landings, roost and the occasional crash. A helmet protects your head, and a mouthguard helps protect your teeth from chips, cracks and knock-outs when you hit the ground. Why custom

Stock guards are pre-formed and offer basic protection. Boil-and-bite guards get a closer fit by softening in hot water. A custom guard is made from an impression of your teeth, so it's more comfortable and secure. It doesn't slip or fall out over rough ground, and it's easier to wear for a full day at the track.

We make a plaster model of your bite from your impression, pressure-form dental-grade material over it and finish every guard by hand in our own lab.

How ordering works

Build your guard online and we ship you an at-home impression kit. Taking the impression takes about 10 minutes, and the putty sets in 2 minutes 30 seconds; the impression guide walks you through it. Mail the impression back to our lab, and your guard is crafted within 10–14 business days after we receive a good impression, then shipped with tracking. Not sure your impression worked? Email a photo to support@alienguards.com and we will tell you if it can be used.

Young riders

There is no age limit, but younger riders' teeth are still changing, so plan to replace their guard more often. Athletes with braces can get AlienGuards, but their dentist needs to take the impression instead of using our at-home kit, so the braces don't get damaged.

Care

Rinse it before and after riding, brush it gently with a soft toothbrush, and store it in a ventilated case away from heat. We recommend replacing it every year, or sooner if it's damaged or worn.
